Congratulations to our first 14 campers who have successfully completed our PADI Seal Team Intro to Scuba Camp. Great Job: Alex P, Alex W, Henry C, Wyatt R, Carl C, Aidan O, Finn O, Katie C, Jack C, Chris Z, Collin Z, Kirsten G, Amanda D and Abbie G! Watch Underwater Videos from Our December Seal Team Camps:
Session Dates: TBD Lead by divemasters at Sterling Silver Scuba, campers will join the PADI Seal Team Crew after completing five action-packed AquaMissions while learning the basics of scuba diving. Bring: mask/snorkel/fins, bagged lunch, swim suit and towel. Scuba gear and wetsuit are provided. Each participant receives a Crew Pack including a DVD, activity book, certificate, decal and patch to take home at the end of the day as well as a photo ID card mailed after completion of class. This is an official PADI program and participant earns credits in this camp to go toward future scuba diving certification. When you get right down to it - the PADI Seal Team program is just plain cool! Designed for young divers, this exciting new program is built around AquaMissions! What's an AquaMission? It's an underwater pool adventure where kids learn scuba activities. In the Intro to Scuba session, we cover AquaMissions 1-5 teach kids the basics of diving—things like buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, etc. In the advanced session, there are 15 AquaMissions. AquaMission 1 AquaMission 2 AquaMission 3 AquaMission 4
In this AquaMission, you learn what it's like to be weightless - just like an Astronaut in space! Controlling your buoyancy - being able to "hover" underwater - is one of the most important skills for a PADI Seal. AquaMission 4 Skills: Shallow water entry, Put on and adjust gear, Regulator removal and recovery (from behind shoulder), Replace regulator and clear (blowing hard), Fin pivot (power inflator), Hovering (power inflator), Ascen. AquaMission 5 As you can see, PADI Seals get to sample a wide variety of dives that reinforce safe diving skills while the kids are having fun - pool diving has never been this adventurous! |
