Things to Bring PDF Print E-mail
There are lots of things you should bring with you each day!  Use this list to make sure that you have everything you will need for a fun and safe day at camp.  Please remember to clearly mark your names on your items – this helps us return your items promptly.  We do have a lost and found box that we will go through each day in case your child leaves something behind accidentally;  parents can view a list of items here after a session for any items remaining.

What to Bring Every Day

  • Water Bottle –bring a filled water bottle (ice optional) with your name on it; works great to freeze half a bottle overnight
  • Comfortable Clothing - wear lightweight t-shirt and shorts for ultimate comfort
  • Sneakers - wear non-marking soled shoes for our daily sports activities;  flip flops or sandals are not appropriate or safe for our activities
  • Swim Wear –bring swim suit, towel, swim goggles, flip-flops, etc. for pool time
  • Sunscreen/Bug Spray - apply sunscreen (spf 15 or higher) and/or bug spray before you come to camp; pack extra for re-application;  make sure that the bottle is clearly marked with your name
  • Lunch - pack a healthy lunch and cold drink in a marked lunch bag
  • Backpack - bring a bag that can hold all of your belongings, clearly mark your name on the bag
  • Canteen Money -the Canteen will be open during lunchtime and After Care; shop for sport-related items/toys, treats, and sports drinks;  most items are under $1. Make sure you keep your money in a safe place!
  • Medication - in the case that your child needs daily or emergency (ie, epi-pen, inhalers, etc) medication, please give it to the Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director and your child’s medication will be kept in our medical kit. A Medicine Authorization form is required for both over the counter and prescribed medications;  medications will only be administered by our Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director. Download Medicine Authorization Form
ECO QUEST CAMPERS SHOULD ALSO BRING:
  • Water Shoes – sneakers or shoes that can get wet and muddy
  • Dry Shoes and Socks – bring these with you to put on after we are done getting wet and muddy
  • Extra Clothing - you may want to bring a long-sleeved shirt or lightweight pants for hikes in the woods to keep out the bugs
  • Hat or Bandana – use either of these to keep the bugs and sun off your head while hiking
  • Bug Repellant - definitely apply sunscreen (spf 15) and/or bug repellant before you come to camp; pack extra for re-application especially before hikes;  clearly mark your bottle with your name
ART CAMPERS SHOULD ALSO BRING:
  • Smock – use a large shirt, to use when working on your projects to keep your clothes safe and clean;  the best kind of shirt is one of your dad’s old button-up shirts with short sleeves

Pizza!

At summer camp, every Friday is pizza day!  A sign-up/pre-pay sheet will be at drop off and pick up Monday through Wednesday;  pizza is ordered on Wednesday evening.  Pizza is $2 per slice;  campers can choose from cheese or pepperoni.  Please pre-order and pre-pay.  Don't forget to pack a drink for lunch on Fridays.

Pizza is available during some Holiday Camps and are included in the fee.  Check out individual sessions for availability.

What NOT to Bring to Camp

  • Game Boys
  • Cell phones
  • Trading cards (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, etc)
  • iPods and other electronics

Game Boys are permitted for After Care campers only but should not be taken out during the day.  If they are seen during the day, they will be removed and returned to parents upon pick-up.
