Our staff is a great tribute to the success of our camp. All staff members are First Aid and CPR certified and are dedicated to working with children in a nurturing and positive manner. Our sports and cheer camp counselors come from a wide variety of sports backgrounds, most of them competing at the varsity levels for their schools. Our eco quest and art counselors have a great talent in their respective areas of interest. All campers will be able to enjoy the variety of personalities and strengths that each counselor brings to our camp programs.

Don Ripa returns for his third summer as our Eco Quest Camp Director. Don teaches fifth grade at Cool Spring Elementary and has been involved in education through LCPS for the past 13 years. He believes that education is a way of life and his goal is to provide every child the opportunity to maximize their potential. A fan of hands-on teaching, Don loves science and nature and love to get his hands dirty - and he encourages kids to do the same! In his spare time, Don loves to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his family. He is young at heart and is looking forward to educating kids in a new environment outside of the classroom.
Maddy Terpak joins us as our Cheer Camp Director. Throughout the course of her cheerleading career at Langley High School, Maddy was an All-District and All-Region cheerleader, team MVP, and team captain. While in high school, she helped co-found the Langley Service Club which organized community service projects for student athletes. And while at VCU, she became vice president of her sorority's Philanthropy Committee which organized 10k races and basketball tournaments. She can't wait to work with our cheerleader campers!
Rachel Bingaman is our new Art Camp Director. A graduate of Messiah College in Studio Arts, Rachel's favorite style of art is painting in oils as well as combining different kinds of art (drawing, painting, print making) together to create unique finished pieces. She has a passion for working with children and is looking forward to sharing her love or art with our campers. Ask Rachel about her Amish living experience!
Jackie Kidwell comes to us from Virginia Tech where she just graduated with a degree in communications. Jackie has a wide-range of sports experience inclulding lacrosse, softball, tennis, and basketball. After suffering a career ending injury, she was no longer able to play DI lacrosse but she turned her passion into working with others and, more specifically, children of all ages, hoping to develop in them the same love and drive that she has for all sports.
Tonya Wright is a recent graduate of Ferrum College with a degree in physical education and exercise science. She was a Bonner Scholar and completed many hours of volunteer experience working with children at the local YMCA and Ferrum Elementary School. Tonya was a member of the Ferrum women's basketball team where she was a USA South Rookie of the Year, USA South All-Conference team member, VaSID All-State First Team member, and USA South All-Tournament Team member. Tonya also plays in DMB Sports' LoCo Ladies Basketball League.
