Junior Counselors play an important role at DMB Sports Camp! Our program is designed to develop leadership and communication skills as well as provide a means of gaining valuable experience in teaching and instructing skills and activities to young children (K-5th grade) under the supervision of full-time staff members.
Ages 13-15 (rising 9th graders and above) Junior Counselors are assigned to a counselor and group of campers each week and have the opportunity to work with different counselors and age groups during the weeks that they attend camp. Special T-shirts are provided so that campers can easily recognize our Junior Counselors. Upon completion, each Junior Counselor receives a certificate including a statement of community service hours. There is a maximum number of Junior Counselors accepted per program each week: 6 for Sports Camp and 4 each for Cheer, Art, and Eco Quest Camps. An application with registration is required. Accepted applicants need to complete a training session before camp begins. 2010 Dates 2010 Hours and Rates
